Iran: Six Prisoners, Including Three Women, Executed in Kerman on the Eve of World Human Rights Day

On the eve of World Human Rights Day, Thursday, December 9, 2021, the clerical regime executed six prisoners, including three women, in Kerman prison. This week, it hanged at least three other prisoners in Zanjan, Isfahan, and Neyshabur prisons. Hence, at least 187 prisoners have been executed since mass murderer Ebrahim Raisi became president and Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Eje’i became the Judiciary Judiciary.

Submerged by major economic crises and fearing an uprising by the Iranian people, the clerical regime has found the only way out in intensifying repression and increasing executions. The regime’s existence hinges on repression, torture, and atrocities to the extent that it cannot stop mass executions even on World Human Rights Day. The international community must shun this regime. The dossier on four decades of crimes against humanity and genocide by the religious fascism ruling Iran must be referred to the UN Security Council, and its leaders must be brought to justice.
