On the evening of December 10, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) hacked the X (formerly Twitter) account of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). IT experts, however, quickly neutralized it and the account was restored back to normal at 19:00 GMT.

Desperate in the face of the expanding activities of the MEK-affiliated Resistance Units nationwide, the Iranian regime boasted of the hack in the IRGC’s Qods Force news agency, Tasnim, minutes after the hack. It made the preposterous claim that most of the PMOI affiliates and sympathizers abroad are “hostages of the organization” and that “their supporters inside Iran, are paid for every operation they carry out.”

In this regard, the PMOI spokesman said that the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and the IRGC as well as its mercenaries and affiliated media have been saying for years that the world’s highest-ranking political leaders, former presidents, and prime ministers, thousands of members of parliaments in different countries, and many judges and even a US Supreme Court Judge have received money from the PMOI/MEK! Now the IRGC Cyber Army has included the PMOI forces inside Iran and the Resistance Units in the list of those receiving money from the organization.

If one were to believe this nonsense, then PMOI must have banknote printing machines under the Pacific Ocean or somewhere outside the Milky Way!

The clerical regime, its allies, and accomplices should admit that they are facing a movement rooted in the hearts of the Iranian people and etched in the history of Iran with an extensive popular base, which the Shah and the mullahs have failed to destroy in the past 58 years, despite executing 120,000 dissidents and hundreds of assassinations, sieges and back-channel deals.
