A student political prisoner has gone into coma and transferred to a hospital during a hunger strike, according to Hrana news agency on Wednesday.

Arash Sadeqi launched his hunger strike on March 15 in protest to brutal torture committed by the regime’s prison guards. Mr. Sadeqi’s shoulder and ribs were broken as a result of torture.

A member of the regime’s Majlis (Parliament) has revealed that Iranian factory owners were threatened by the regime that if they opposed the lifting of subsidies by the mullahs, they would be imprisoned.

In its 2010 report on executions around the world, Amnesty International said more than 252 hangings were acknowledged by Iranian regime in 2010, but the group received credible reports of more than 300 other executions not acknowledged by the regime.

It also pointed out that several people have been sentenced to death for supporting the main opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), and in some cases, the alleged links amount to no more than having had family contact with PMOI members.

The prominent rights group Amnesty International has observed a traditional Iranian ceremony for the New Year near the Eifel Tower in Paris in solidarity with political prisoners while condemning the regime’s executions.

Human rights advocates were also present at the scene in central Paris.

The Iranian regime secretly hanged five people in the notorious Evin prison on Monday, March 14, according to Hrana news agency.

One woman, two men and a couple identified as Adiva Mirza Soleiman and Varjoun Petrosian, followers of the Jewish and Christian faiths respectively, were hanged in the prison in Tehran.

Large crowds of people paid their respects on Friday to a young man murdered by regime forces during the February 14 anti-regime uprisings on the 40th day after his death.

According to Iran Khabar, family, friends and large crowds paid their respects by appearing at Mohammad Mokhtari’s place of burial in Behesht-e Zahra cemetery.

The body of a young protestor murdered by the Iranian regime’s suppressive forces has been buried in Qaemshahr in northern Iran after a funeral ceremony attended by many of the local residents, according to reports.

Behnoud Ramezani was killed last Tuesday during anti-regime protests by the paramilitary Bassij forces and plainclothes agents after receiving multiple critical blows to his head and body.

The prominent human rights group Amnesty International released a statement this week condemning the Iranian regime’s murder of inmates at a prison in Karaj, and called for investigations by competent international authorities.

Many prisoners at Qezelhesar prison are reported to have died after the regime’s agents opened fire on them in a barbaric act to quell a disturbance on Tuesday.
